FREE Easy Crochet Basket Pattern

  Crochet baskets will always be my one true love and I am so excited to share this pattern! This basket has given an old tofu container new life as a planter! Other containers I like to use are yoghurt and sour cream tubs. Just be sure to poke some holes at the bottom for drainage - your plants will thank you! Baskets are just so handy to have around the house and can keep everything tidy (or at least hidden from sight)! You may recognize this yarn from my  One Evening, One Skein Infinity Scarf  pattern. I had just enough leftover to make this 19 cm (7.5 in) wide basket. With the handles, it measures 16 cm (6.5 in) tall. Caron Lovely Layers Swirl Cakes is a roving style yarn and not usually a good idea for baskets because it's very loosely spun and does not create the sturdy structure a basket needs. However! I love how the subtle colour gradients and am so happy I have found a workaround.  It looks like this yarn may be discontinued but you can use any other roving yarn. You coul
